"Hi we're Grahame and Katharina, the proprietors of Base Camp 68, and are here to ensure that you have a wonderful holiday. We've lived in Lapland for a few years now and love the nature, and the peace & quiet. How we ended up in Lapland is a long story, which we'll gladly tell you during your stay.
Rural Sweden is a tranquil place with a huge amount of wilderness, few people and much wildlife; our village of Vormsele is no exception. Our drinking water is drawn from the river. It's sweet, pure, and deliciously cool on the warmest day. The river is one of few unpolluted & undeveloped rivers in Sweden. There is wild-camping and great fishing everywhere.
Lapland is safe, clean, friendly and with a good infrastructure.
We want to share our love of Lapland with you ..."
Kath is German and also speaks fluent English & Swedish. She will show you the best places to pick mushrooms & berries, and where to practise your cross-country skiing. She's a great outdoors person and loves camping, cycling, swimming, and photography.
Grahame is English and a photographer. He is an Associate of both the Royal Photographic Society and the British Institiute of Professional Photography and he will provide expert advice on photographing your holiday memories, including of course, the Northern Lights.
Between them, they will answer all your questions before you embark (you can speak with them on the phone or send an email) and be on hand to assist & advise you during your stay. If you wish, they will take professional-quality photos and video clips of your stay.
